Debenhams loses senior team members

New broom Stefaan Vansteenkiste has wasted no time rejigging the management team structure at Debenhams in his first few months as CEO. Richard Cristofoli who was managing director for marketing, digital and beauty is leaving along with Mark Ashman who was drafted in as stores, operations and food managing director in February this year, and transformation and people director Sally Hyndman. The reorganisation sees Steven Cook managing director of fashion and home add beauty to his responsibilities whilst Jess Shepherd takes on responsibility for digital in addition to international. Angela Morrison will absorb Ashman’s role and is now director of stores, technology and supply chain. Meanwhile, lawyers for Debenhams have claimed that Sports Direct wants to drive it into administration through its funding of a CVA lawsuit which has been mounted by Combined Property Control Group which owns six Debenhams stores.
