Tesco is understood to be set to sell off its garden centres division Dobbies, acquired in 2008, as well as its Giraffe restaurant chain as it continues to focus on its core business. 35 garden centres are operated under the Dobbies name, some of which are co-located with Tesco stores but have been loss-making. Wyevale is widely mooted as being the most likely buyer for the garden centre operations.
