Dobbies has appointed Richard Hodges as its commercial director and he will take responsibility for all trading and lead the roll-out of the company’s small store format ‘little dobbies’ and the gardening specialist’s online activity which has been earmarked for growth. A new head of buying has also been named, Tim Hollis joins from the RHS and will lead the buying team across all categories. John Dunning has joined from Bourne Leisure as restaurant director.
“Richard, John and Tim bring outstanding experience from the retail, hospitality and horticulture worlds,” said Graeme Jenkins, CEO, Dobbies. “They will be instrumental in helping continue with our growth plan.”
Dobbies chair, Andrew Bracey added: “As we grow Dobbies organically and by acquisition, we are always trying to improve what we offer our customers. By strengthening the team, we wil be more able to do this and continue to improve on our outstanding customer experience.”
