Dreams have reported annual sales of £309 million for the year to 24 December, a 2.9 per cent increase on the previous year with like-for-like sales up by 1.9 per cent. Pre-tax profits were up by 11.7 per cent to £32.7 million. The bed specialist had opened 17 new stores during the year and in addition to refurbishing a further 13 stores had launched a new eCommerce platform to improve customer experience. This came in a year which has been widely acknowledged as having been challenging across the sector.
Mike Logue, chief executive, Dreams commented: “We have remained focused on providing an excellent range of products at the right price point which, coupled with our healthy balance sheet, means that we have had the flexibility to adapt to market conditions.”
