Dunelm achieved a 23 per cent uplift in its sales for the second half. It recorded £720m for the half-year to 26 December, a third of which came in online. Consumer demand for homewares was strong across the retail sector as customers sought to improve their home surroundings in the face of constantly changing Covid-19 restrictions.
CEO Nick Wilkinson said: “I am immensely grateful for the engagement and resilience of the Dunelm team who, along with our suppliers, have demonstrated their outstanding commitment to our core value of being ‘Stronger Together’. Our scaleable proposition combines an in-store and digital offer which, with agile technology, we will continue to develop at pace.”
“Our online home delivery business has more than doubled since the same period last year as we continue to enhance the digital customer experience and ramp up our operational capabilities.”
