Dyson has announced plans to cut its workforce by 900, with 600 of the affected employees located in the UK. Overall Dyson employs 14,000 people, with 4,000 based in the UK.
450 jobs will go at its Malmesbury, Wilts headquarters. It is understood that its call centre is to be fully outsourced by January 2021.
A Dyson spokesperson said: “The Covid-19 crisis has accelerated changes in consumer behaviour and therefore requires changes in how we engage with our customers and how we sell our products.”
