Ecoegg suffers serious fire

On 14th June, Ecoegg, who specialise in eco-friendly laundry and cleaning products, suffered a serious fire at its warehouses and office space in Maidstone. The blaze raged for 7 hours before being extinguished by 40 firefighters and 8 fire engines.

The aftermath left the Queen’s Award winning business with almost no stock and no warehouse or office space. However, the team are determined to re-build the business and are confident they will recover.

Managing Director Rob Knight said ‘All our staff have been fantastic’, and confirmed ‘The units are destroyed, so we’ve lost all our stock and offices and equipment. We’ve moved to temporary offices in Maidstone for the time being.’

Since moving into temporary offices on the 17th June, the business has been receiving more and more positive news each day. The team, suppliers and partners are working hard, replenishing stock and re-organising, and Ecoegg are sure they will be back up and running in no time. ‘Our customers, suppliers and partners have all been amazing and we are very grateful to them’ said Rob Knight.

The Ecoegg team s confident the business will rise from the ashes, putting this terrible incident behind them.
