Jas Bagniewski has left his role of CEO at Eve Sleep by mutual consent. The online mattress and pillow retailer will now place a halt on its international expansion plans and instead, take its mattress in a box product into Dreams 193 retail stores. It already sells via Next Home, Debenhams and Fenwick in the UK and one retailer in France and another in Germany. The business is now seeking a new CEO with CFO Abid Ismail acting as interim CEO in the short term.
Chairman Paul Pindar commented: “We have fallen short of our own and the market’s high expectations and as a result have taken the tough decision to make a management change. Jas has, as one of the founders, been a driving force for this business and has much to be proud of. He leaves with the board’s best wishes for the future.”
