The intellectual property of Internacionale, which fell into administration in February this year, has been acquired by Edinburgh Woollen Mill for an undisclosed sum. Internacionale, a budget fashion chain, had operated from 89 retail stores, all of which were closed in June. Founded in the 1980s, the retailer had annual sales of £120 million at its peak selling its own brands which included Miss Internacionale, Sophie, Denim 365 and Urban Edition. The IP sale was brokered by Metis Partners.
