Better than expected sales from Express Gifts and its
education division were offset by worse than projected figures from Kleeneze
(-5.4 per cent) and Kitbag (-4.5 per cent) at the close of the year’s trading to March 28th 2014 for multi-brand group Findel. Total group sales at £514.7 million, were up by 5 per cent with
Express Gifts returning an increase of 9.7 per cent with bad debts under
control. The education supplies business grew its sales by 6.2 per cent. Kitbag’s losses rose from £1.7m to £4.1 million.
