In a significant boon to small businesses visiting ECMOD, sponsor
Global Freight Solutions (GFS) has announced it is making its
multicarrier delivery management software available without
charge to companies shipping fewer than 50 parcels a day. Larger
clients, or those with more specific requirements, will have to
pay a small transactional fee.
The offer comes after GFS research found that some companies that
managed deliveries in-house often incurred higher bills, swapping
between carriers to try and save money. Commenting on the offer,
GFS managing director Neil Cotty says helping companies manage
their shipments more easily is “of paramount importance
given the example of last Christmas, when businesses saw and felt
the financial consequences of not having adequate contingencies
in their parcel deliveries.”
