Sales at Germany-based Zooplus rose 45 percent on a year-on-year
basis in the first half. The etailer reported total sales of
€118.5 million ($168.8 million, £103.8 million), of
which €112.3 million ($160.0 million, £98.4 million)
was generated by online sales of pet supplies. However, the
company said growth was significantly weaker than expected during
the second quarter, due to the migration of its logistics centre
which proved more costly and complex than first estimated.
