H C Slingsby PLC has acquired B2B shelving & equipment supplier ESE Direct for £3.9 million. The deal is conditional on ESE having £600,000 in uncommitted cash on completion which reduces the consideration for the business to £3.3 million. ESE, which has won successive ECMOD Direct Commerce Awards in recent years, had sales of £6.5 million in 2014 on which it achieved a pre-tax profit of £351.5K.
