Harrods’ director of home shopping, Guy Hipwell, has left
the business to join West End retail emporium Liberty as director
of internet, supply chain and retail merchandising. Liberty does
not currently have a transactional website, but “Guy is the right
man to help develop Liberty’s e-commerce platform and expand its
customer base beyond the flagship store,” said chief
executive Geoffroy de La Bourdonnaye. Separately Liberty has
named Sara Edwards as human resources and change director
for the group, effective in 2008.
