Joules has reported an increase in its revenues of 4 per cent for the full year ended 31st May 2021. Online sales had made a significant contribution helped by Joules’ acquisition of Garden Trading and its online marketplace Friends of Joules. Digital channel revenues had grown by 48 per cent year on year with stores performing ahead of expectations since re-opening. This combined to result in total sales of £199 million for the year.
Commenting on the news, CEO Nick Jones said: “The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the lives of consumers, the level of disruption and pace of change in the retail sector over the past 12 months has been truly unprecedented. I am delighted that, against this backdrop, Joules has been able to deliver a very solid financial performance and strong strategic progress.”
