Allan Leighton, formerly ASDA chief executive and chair of Royal Mail has resigned from his position as chairman of the board of Entertainment Magpie. Leighton has held the post since 2011 when both he and LDC took minority stakes in the business which is a buyer and reseller of a wide range of consumer products including CDs, computer games and clothing. Rumours had circulated that LDC was seeking to sell its stake in the business but these have not been confirmed.
Leighton continues with a number of his other chairmanship roles at businesses including Pandora, Pace, and Entertainment One.
