Linda Bennett has bought the remaining shares in LK Bennett back from private equity firm Phoenix Equity Partners for an undisclosed sum. Bennett had made a return to the business as a consultant earlier this year and has since been working closely with its team to get it back on track.
LK Bennett was originally founded in 1999 with a single store and was developed over nineteen years into a very successful high street chain. Bennett sold the business in 2008 retaining a minority stake and a position on its board.
“Working closely with the LK Bennett team over the past few months has given me a real sense of excitement and confidence in the potential of the brand,” said Linda Bennett. “We want to focus on making beautiful clothing and footwear for women of all ages. I’m thrilled to be back in the business.”
CEO Darren Topp said that he and the management team were delighted with the move.
