Kcaj, the retail fund managed by serial acquirer Arev, has
snapped up another multichannel marketer: Blooming Marvellous
Ltd. Founders Judy Lever and Vivienne Pringle sold the merchant
of maternity and baby products for an undisclosed sum. Founded in
1983, Marvellous Group consists of the Blooming Marvellous
catalogues, website, and 14 stores. Arev is believed to have
plans to expand the retail division to 25 stores.
Earlier this year Kcaj backed a management buyout of a majority
stake of Mountain Warehouse. Icelandic firm Arev also owns
womenwear retailer Ghost, luxury menswear brand Duchamp and
casualwear marketer Limeys, among other retailers.
