Matalan founders buy stake in Damsel in a Dress


John and Maxine Hargreaves, who founded the Matalan discount
fashion chain, have bought a 50 percent stake in Damsel in a Dress, the
womenswear brand. Founded in 2010, Damsel in a Dress founders Alison Mansell,
Amanda Seabourne and Marshall Doctors plan to work with the Hargreaves team to
launch a retail presence on the UK high street and to build on the their
connections to grow the brand internationally.
