Morrisons has bought 7 Jessops stores from PwC

According to a piece in the Telegraph, Morrisons has bought
seven Jessops shops from PricewaterhouseCoopers, administrators to the
collapsed camera retailer, for an undisclosed sum. It is believed the
supermarket chain will use the sites, four of which are based in London with
two elsewhere in England and one in Scotland, to expand its convenience store
business- MLocal. This latest Jessops news follows on from last week’s
announcement that Dragons’ Den businessman Peter Jones was part of a consortium
that bought the Jessops brand which plans to relaunch it as an online-only
retailer.
