Movers and shakers–April 2013

Matt Clarke has joined Monocore, the company
behind the Saints & Slimmers brand, as eCommerce director. He was
most recently eCommerce director at pond and aquarium supplies
business Swell UK.

Victoria Plumb, the online luxury bathroom retailer, has
appointed three new members to its eCommerce team. Paul
Carmichael joins as eCommerce manager, Mark
Skinner as paid channel controller and Jason
Hotham as SEO and content marketing controller. The trio
all join from digital marketing and eCommerce agency Summit to
support Victoria Plumb’s brand development plans.

Chris Matthews will join outdoor equipment and
clothing retailer Go Outdoors in May as its new chief executive.
Matthews currently holds the position of managing director of
Dixons Retail’s Greek business Kotsovolos.

B&Q has recruited Michael Durbridge as its new
director of omnichannel. He reports to Steve
Robinson, B&Q’s customer director, who joined from MandM
Direct last summer.

Multichannel fashion retailer Monsoon Accessorize has recruited
Kevin Rusling as international director. Rusling
was most recently at Asda’s clothing brand George, and previously
held roles at Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury’s.

Duvet and Pillow Warehouse, an online retailer of bed and bath
products, has made Jonathan Attwood its chief
marketing officer.

Apparel retailer White Stuff has appointed Jeremy
Seigal, formerly chief executive at Superdrug-owner AS
Watson UK, as its new chief executive. He replaces Sally
Bailey, who after almost nine years as chief executive,
announced her departure in October 2012.

Paul Zimmerman, the former managing director of
Firebox.com and business development boss at Play.com, is
relocating to Jersey to take up the post of director of eCommerce
operations at stamps and collectibles specialist Stanley Gibbons.
Zimmerman reports directly to Mark Rosenberg who
was appointed chief digital officer in November last year
following the acquisition of the US online collectibles trading
platform bidStart.

Fashion retailer Matches has named Ulric Jerome,
a founding partner and executive director of Pixmania.com, as its
chief operating officer.

Multisite online retailer The Hut Group has named Morrisons’
finance director Richard Pennycook as
nonexecutive chairman, with effect from 1st April. The
appointment coincides with Angus Monro’s
completion of his term as chairman.

Supply chain software provider Kewill has appointed
Jan-Paul Boos as senior vice president EMEA;
Robin Martin as senior vice president
professional services and Lee Muise as senior
vice president of product development.

Maginus, a provider of multichannel retail services, has named
Gavin Masters, previously international
eCommerce manager at Hallmark Cards, as its head of eCommerce
consulting.

Marketing services provider APS Group has expanded its
pan-European presence with the appointment of Guillaume
Feuillette as European development director. Working
alongside business development teams in the UK and the
Netherlands, Feuillette will be responsible for developing APS
Group’s European client base.

Parcel delivery company Yodel has announced the appointment of
Neil Lloyd as chief executive. A chartered
accountant by training, Lloyd was previously chief executive at
Netstore plc and NHS Professionals Ltd and has also held senior
roles at Harvey Nichols and Ottakars Bookstores.

Sanderson, the multichannel software specialist, has appointed
Jason Ayres as programme manager for the Elucid
system. Shannon Oakley is named the new
client-facing project manager in the Elucid professional services
team.

Max Way, previously marketing director at Baker
Ross, has joined K3 Retail as head of multichannel retail. Way
joins from software specialist HSO.
