Movers and shakers–September

Online wine retailer Naked Wines has recruited a new team of wine
professionals to oversee its global winemaker investments.
Eamon Fitzgerald, formerly of Accenture and
Decanter, joins as UK chief operating officer with a remit to
oversee worldwide operations as well. Dominic
Hentall becomes worldwide technical director and roaming
winemaker; Robin Langton is named director of
winemaking in the US and Rod Easthope is charged
with scouting winemaking talent in Australia and New Zealand. The
creation of the new team follows Naked Wines’ recent expansion
into the US and Australia, where it has opened two new retail
platforms and a winery in Sonoma, California. Naked Wines had
sales of £23.5 million in 2011.

Gifts retailer Oliver Bonas named Jamie de
Cesare, formerly eCommerce manager at stoneware brand
Emma Bridgewater, as its eCommerce manager.

Theo Karpathios, the cofounder of Superdry-owner
SuperGroup, has decided to leave the business. Currently serving
as chief executive officer, wholesale and international at the
fashion retailer, Karpathios also owns a 14.8 percent stake in
the business.

Formerly marketing director at GettingPersonal and Joe Browns,
Hilary Large has joined bookmaker Betfred as
head of marketing.

Sportswear retailer JJB named Beverley Williams
as chief executive officer on an interim basis. Williams was most
recently commercial director and co-chief exec at lingerie
business La Senza. She replaces Keith Jones, who
announced his departure in July.

Entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis
has strengthened the management team across his Ryman, Boux
Avenue and Robert Dyas brands. Richard Bennett,
formerly retail director at Spar, has joined Ryman as chief
operating officer, reporting to group chief executive
Kypros Kyprianou. Nadine Jones
joins as group HR director from jewellers Links of London where
she held a similar post.

Swindon-based marketing agency Toinfinity hired Emma
Pearson as a senior consultant. She will be working
closely with clients and the Toinfinity team to develop online
strategies and deliver them.

K3 Retail, a provider of retail software based on Microsoft
technology, appointed Jason Delport, formerly
marketing and events manager at not-for-profit business network
OBN, as a marketing executive.

Data8, a data enrichment specialist, named Debbie
Sweeney as head of new business generation.

Mobile marketing agency Sponge appointed former Yahoo! mobile
advertising boss Bill Maclachlan as business
development director as it moves to cement its position as a
leading mobile marketing agency. Most recently Maclachlan worked
at advertising technology company Amobee where he held the
position of product director for media services, Amobee was
acquired by the mobile operator SingTel for £206 million
earlier this year.
