The new dual fascia SimplyBe – Jacamo stores due to open
shortly in Derby and Leeds will feature a raft of new technology to encourage
customers to use them as showrooms for its wider offering. e group has been
steadily extending beyond its traditional mature customer base to attract a
much younger audience as well. Its stores will offer touch point kiosks for
access to its full range and staff will be equipped with iPad terminals. In
addition, customers will be offered magic mirror styling technology in fitting
rooms to allow them to take picture of themselves, in the clothes they try on,
for upload to Facebook. The latter, already in place at its other stores, is
aimed squarely at furthering the brands’ reach on social media channels and
customers will also be encouraged to provide their email addresses at point of
sale to enable ongoing digital communication.
