Hot on the heels of rival Shop Direct Group‘s
isme offering, N Brown Group has
added another label to its portfolio. Targeting women aged 56 to
65 years, the new Fabrici brand will be
available from 21st March, reports Manchester Evening News.
Pavers Shoes is gearing up to launch a TV
shopping channel called PaversShoes.tv, which will start
broadcasting on 6th April on Sky channel 659. According to the
Yorkshire Business Desk, Pavers expects the
channel to increase total sales by 20 percent, “adding
around £10 million to its annual turnover”.
The
Independent reports that apparel retailer
Joules recorded pretax profits of £4.86
million for the year to 30th May 2010. It compares this with
£2.48 million over a 16-month period the previous
year.
Department-store chain Debenhams reported a 1.5
percent decline in sales excluding VAT in the first half of the
year. Chief executive Rob Templeman said in a statement that the
performance was “pleasing given the difficult trading
environment”. Improved margins and lower interest rate
charges helped Debenhams offset the negative impact of the
adverse December weather and as a result pretax profit is expect
to be ahead of last year.
