Lyco Direct has further expanded its reach into
the b-to-c market with the acquisition of Lighting
Direct. The Lighting Direct operation has relocated to
Lyco’s Milton Keynes offices.
Sara Bradley, Sainsbury’s head of clothing, and
Adrian Mountford, the supermarket’s head of general merchandise,
are to leave the business to join Asda and
Matalan, respectively. The Telegraph says the news deals a blow to the
supermarket’s nonfood expansion plans.
