Neil Davidson, who had more than 30 years’ experience as
operations director for large UK catalogue ventures including BCA
and Innovations, and who was managing director of fulfilment firm
Hubeurope.com, passed away on 2nd January following a long battle
with cancer.
Andy Cable, who worked with Davidson at BCA and Response
Management, says, “Neil was a huge influence in my career,
taking me on at BCA and then giving me the opportunity to support
him in setting up a ‘greenfield’ operation at Response
Management/Innovations in 1988. His strategic vision for that
operation was spot-on, and he went on to set up two more
operations from scratch-even though I told him he was mad! His
support was tremendous through some very tough times, and he will
be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.”
The funeral service took place on 18th January. In lieu of
flowers, his family asked for donations to Cancer Research UK or
the Woodland Trust.
