Ocado has posted its first profit in 15 years. The online, delivered grocery service which primarily supplies Waitrose products, also provides Morrisons with supporting services for its online grocery division, has achieved sales of £948.9 million for the year to November 30th, 2014, up from £792.1 million for the previous year. The increased sales enabled the business to generate a £7.2 million pre-tax profit. Ocado proposes to expand its sales by developing partnerships with overseas grocery chains for which it can leverage its ‘Ocado Smart Platform’.
