Otto UK, whose brands include Freemans, Grattan and Oli, has
unveiled an apparel and home goods website called Discount365.
The site went live on 22nd April and was promoted through
giveaways and competitions in Look, Now and Woman magazines as
well as on the Now website. Discount365 is geared toward an
older, less affluent customer than that of Otto’s Oli and Montage
titles, targeting primarily C1, C2 and D women aged 25-45.
In related news, German-based parent company Otto Group recently
posted its annual results for the year to 29th February 2008. In
the UK, annual revenues dropped 7.7 per cent, to £417
million. In February, Otto UK hired KPMG to undertake a strategic
review of the business to consider a range of options, including
“substantial investment in the home shopping sector and/or
the high-street retail sector”. Otto was scheduled to
unveil its conclusions this month.
