Online pharmacy service Pharmacy2u has been slammed for its failure to fulfil customers’ prescription medicine orders on a timely basis, causing patients lengthy and potentially life-threatening delays in receiving essential medication. The business had, it said moved to a new warehouse with a new automated system in November and it was this transition that had caused severe problems. In a statement on its website the business said “We apologise that unforeseen difficulties in transferring our prescription dispensing service to our new automated facility has led to unexpected delays for some orders.” The NHS, which endorses the Leeds based business, is being pressed to hold it to account.
