Despite most of its stores being closed, ProCook has posted record-breaking sales figures with their first £500k day. With many retailers shying away from Black Friday promotions, ProCook has embraced the campaign, topping an incredible year with a record day despite most stores being shut due to lockdown.
The kitchenware brand, which has just celebrated its 25th Birthday, has experienced strong growth since the beginning of the pandemic, building on their already impressive upward trajectory of the last 10 years. Notably, like for like bricks and mortar sales between lockdowns were also up by 41 per cent year on year.
Daniel O’Neill, founder of ProCook, commented “There is scepticism at the moment around Black Friday and some retailers not offering genuine reductions and others deciding not to get involved. We’ve made it simple, 20 per cent off everything if you spend £100 – it’s a clear and simple promotion and consumers know they are saving money.”
He continued “What’s incredible about today is that we achieved this milestone with most of our stores closed. We’ve been busier than ever this year, so we were expecting a great Black Friday performance, but tipping the half a million mark has been particularly sweet and we look forward to seeing our strongest peak sales period to date.”
