Shop Direct is set to cut 95 jobs at its Liverpool head office and Manchester operations centre by June. The roles are principally in its creative department but will also affect some employees engaged in buying, merchandising, planning and scheduling. This is largely the result of new digital asset management technology from CLX Europe which streamlines and automates product uploads to its websites. The new system will be fully live from June. Consultations are underway with unions and those affected are being offered redundancy or, in some cases, roles in other departments.
