Software development company MNP is providing shoe retailer
Soletrader with an integrated in-store iPad ordering service. The
system works by allowing the sales assistant to search for the
customer’s shoe requirements and then place the order, via an
iPad, linked to real-time inventory. The customer can then pay
via chip and PIN or online, and the order is shipped directly to
his home or workplace. The service combats the problem of a store
losing the sale because an item is out-of-stock. Soletrader also
benefits from capturing customer details at the point of sale,
which will help build lifetime value from what was originally
just a transactional retail spend.
Soletrader chose to implement MNP’s StoreActive system, which is
fully integrated into MNP’s OrderActive back office, order
management and warehouse system, following MNP’s previous
experience with multichannel clothing retailers.
