Sosandar plots stores and international markets

Womenswear brand Sosandar is set to build on its retail presence, drawing on experience gained with concessions within M&S, Next and Sainsbury’s. It has also entered into agreements to commence selling with The Iconic, Australia and The Bay in Canada.

The investment in its own stores will further extend the brand’s reach. Sosandar is targeting affluent towns with thriving high streets which may prove to be a tough call in the current climate.

Ali Hall and Julie Lavington, co-CEOs, said: “We are extremely excited about the next stage of our growth journey. Our decision to open our stores is the logical next step as we look to offer our customers more ways to engage and ship with Sosandar.

“We know that the added value of being able to touch and feel our clothes will appeal to our target customers. With a clear roll-out plan in place and strict criteria around the location of potential stores, we are confident that our stores will enable us to accelerate our market share and increase the awareness of our brand.”

The latest move follows Sosandar having reported half-year losses of £1.3m despite having increased sales to £22.3m for the period.
