Sports Direct is understood to be in negotiations with landlords to secure rent reductions for many of the stores leased by Jack Wills in order to return the chain to profit. There are 100 Jack Wills stores in the UK and Ireland and a total of 1700 Jack Wills employees who have transferred to Sports Direct. Apparently, Sports Direct has not ruled out closing stores where new terms cannot be agreed.
