Glow Nutrition Ltd has appointed Walker Logistics to manage the UK supply chain for its Zero Noodles brand of diet food. Hugely popular across Asia, Zero Noodles are eaten as a replacement for rice and pasta and contain only 4 calories per 100g serving.
Sales of Zero Noodles, which are sold mainly through specialist health food retailers such as Holland & Barrett and Boots, are increasing across the UK and this growing demand prompted Glow Nutrition to seek a dedicated logistics partner for the product. The contract will run from Walker’s 230,000 sq. ft. multi-user ambient food-grade storage facility in Berkshire and will involve the receipt, storage and dispatch of full pallet loads. Outgoing shipments will be delivered using Walker’s own vehicles to the DC network of Zero Noodles’ stockists across the UK.
William Walker, sales director of Walker Logistics, commented: “With the public’s growing awareness of the benefits of healthy eating, Zero Noodles are becoming as popular in the UK and Europe as they already are in Asia! The client had previously been fulfilling orders from its own warehouses but, by outsourcing, will save money and improve supply chain efficiency.”
