Tesco cuts 50 managers

Tesco has got rid of 50 managers at its headquarters in
Cheshunt and Welwyn Garden City as chief executive Philip Clarke battles to
improve the performance of the business, according to a report in the Guardian.
The article says long-term employees Roger Fogg, chief executive of Tesco
Mobile, and Ian Crook, marketing director for the supermarket’s Clubcard
loyalty scheme, are among those to exit the business, along with staff from
Tesco’s property communications and finance teams.
