City AM, the London based free printed news publication and its associated digital site has a new owner. THG acquired the business via a pre-pack deal and has promised to invest in editorial and tech resources for its newsroom and expand the lifestyle and sports content. The acquisition sees City Am’s 40-strong commercial and editorial team join THG.
Matt Moulding, CEO, THG said: “We’ve long been reviewing opportunities in the disruptive media space but have waited for the right time and the right opportunity to make a digital step-change in adtech capabilities for Ingenuity.”
THG paid £1.5m for the business.
