Travis Perkins has sold Birchwood Price Tools, a multi-brand manufacturer and wholesaler to Toolstream for an unspecified sum. Travis Perkins had acquired the business which has 85 staff and is based in Nottingham in 2011. It is understood that it will continue to be run as a standalone business with managing director Matt Hunt remaining at the helm. Birchwood Price Tools is behind the Scruffs workwear, Defender lighting, and Rhino heating brands, amongst others.
