Veronique Laury, CEO of Kingfisher is to step down following the failure of the One Kingfisher transformation and turnaround strategy she had instigated. The business is now seeking a replacement but says that Laury, who was appointed to the role in 2014, will remain in office until the selection process is complete.
The business is set to close all 19 of its Screwfix stores in Germany and is also understood to be reviewing the future for 15 other stores across the wider group.
Laury commented; “Leading the transformation has been so exciting but very challenging. As the transformation approaches its final year, I feel it is right for someone else to lead the next phase of the One Kingfisher journey.”
