Waterstones is seeking to streamline its head office structure in order to contain costs to safeguard its business. It had commenced with consultations in July which have resulted in a number of category managers leaving the book retailer.
The business is now focused on achieving a successful peak trading period which, as for other heavily store reliant retailers, will depend largely on the extent of the Government’s measures aimed at preventing a second major surge of the pandemic.
