Many DCA members, Royal Mail colleagues, as well as others from the multichannel retail and direct marketing sectors, have been deeply saddened to learn that former DCA advisory board member and long-term senior Royal Mail executive Wayne Parrott passed away at the weekend (February 17-18th, 2024).

Wayne was Royal Mail’s head of home shopping from 2001, becoming partnership director, home shopping in Royal Mail’s UK sales division for home shopping until 2014 when he transferred to become Royal Mail’s head of new business specialist services.
A committed volunteer, Wayne also served as deputy chairman and as a trustee of the Ascot Charitable Trust, and as a judge, level 2 coach and club secretary of the England Boxing Surrey division. He had also managed the amateur Berks County Football Club.
This is in addition to the six years he spent with the DCA between 2008 and 2014 as a trusted and supportive advisory board member. Wayne had also been on the Royal Mail home shopping team during its period of support for the ECMOD conference & tradeshow as well as for the launch of the ECMOD awards.
Wayne will be greatly missed by us all.
