Whistl win Cultural Impact Award from the Institute of Couriers

Whistl has won the Cultural Impact Award from the Institute of Couriers at an awards ceremony in London. The award was for the work the Whistl team in Belfast did in conjunction with local charity, Homeless Connect.

The charity produces essential packs for those transitioning out of homelessness as part of its Home Starter Pack Project, designed to help make the transition from homelessness to more settled accommodation easier. The Whistl team in Belfast supported the charity through dedicating a minimum of 250 volunteer hours annually to build these packs and provide further support in fundraising events.

Nick Wells, executive chairman, Whistl, said: “At Whistl we allow our 22 sites across the UK to nominate a charity that they wish to support in their local area.  I am pleased that the team in Belfast has been recognised for their voluntary work and contribution to the local community in helping homeless people in Northern Ireland transition to more settled accommodation.”
