YFM Equity Partners has made a £2.5 million investment in womenswear retailer Ness. The Edinburgh based business was formed in 1997 to create a clothing brand with Scottish heritage. It employs 10 people in its head office and operates 11 stores and an eCommerce site, jointly achieving annual sales of £5 million. The investment will be used to open additional stores and develop the online channel. YFM’s Dean Murray has joined the business as its chairman.
