The Scottish dilemma

Concerns are mounting North of Border as realisation grows that an independent Scotland cannot survive without it having a recognised currency along with a sustainable plan.  It seems most unlikely from assorted national press reports that Westminster will allow Scotland to continue to use Sterling and there is even talk about introducing border controls curtailing the freedom that currently exists to pass from England into Scotland and vice versa,  without production of a passport. Other reports say that the Scottish economy is not strong enough to qualify for adoption of the Euro,  and that if Scotland does gain independence it may not be cause for celebration when harsher realities kick in.
