Facebook is set to launch into the online payments
space. It has reportedly been working with TransferWise,
Moni Technologies and Azimo to help develop its new service and has applied for
a licence to enable it to provide payment services to its members across Europe.
The new service is expected to compete against Paypal as well as the wider pool
of mobile based payment service providers.
