Amazon has been hit by strikes at its German warehouses.
Employees at two sites have staged a walk-out demanding to be paid German
hourly minimum rate for workers in the retail and mail-order industries, writes
the Guardian. According to the piece, Ralf Kleber, head of Amazon Germany,
rejected the demands. His argument is that staff work in the logistics
business, packing and dispatching parcels, rather than in the retail and
mail-order.
