N Brown appoints new non-exectutive directors

N Brown, the parent company of the Jacamo and Simply Be
catalogues, has appointed three new nonexecutive directors, a move, it says,
which represents “a further step towards renewing the composition and
independence of the board”. Ron McMillan joins the audit committee, having
spent his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers; Simon Patterson, managing
director at investment firm Silver Lake, joins the board to lend his extensive
ecommerce expertise; Fiona Laird, senior vice president of human resources at
Unilever and a lawyer by training, will become chair of the remuneration
committee. They join Anna Ford, who has been on the board as an independent
nonexecutive director since March 2009.
