Mature womenswear retailer Bonmarche which has just welcomed its new CEO Helen Connolly who, mere weeks into the role, has issued a warning that first half like for like sales are expected to come in around 8 per cent lower than last year. In common with a number of other retailers it says that September was impacted by the burst of hot weather which stalled its Autumn range sales.
