Vision Express has been lined up to acquire the opticians business operated by Tesco in 206 of its UK stores together with 3 in the Republic of Ireland. The deal is subject to approval by the Competition and Markets Authority and, if approved, will result in the 1500 affected Tesco staff transferring to the new owner who will continue to operate the outlets in their current locations, within Tesco stores.
