Amazon has confirmed that it will open a parcel sorting facility at Haydock which will employ around 250 staff over the next 18 months. The site’s team will sort parcels for onward shipping to delivery stations from which they will be collected for delivery to customers. Amazon has already commenced with the recruitment of staff and says that it has capacity to expand the facility to employ 800+ staff.
